1. Advancing the common interests of the members of professional societies and educational institutions serving the energy industry in Texas to achieve economies to protect and educate the public, and to promote communication
   
2. Maintaining a central coordinating body to provide a forum for association and communication for representatives of the several Constituent Organizations of those energy-related professions.
